4.5 Chanakya Niti

कामधेनुगुणा विद्या ह्यकाले फलदायिनी ।
प्रवासे मातृसदृशी विद्या गुप्तं धनं स्मृतम् ॥४.५॥

kāmadhenuguṇā vidyā hyakāle phaladāyinī |
pravāse mātṛsadṛśī vidyā guptaṃ dhanaṃ smṛtam ||4.5||

like Kamadhenu is knowledge; in crisis it is fruitful; in journeys like a mother it offers good advice; knowledge is hidden treasure, remember

[Kamadhenu is a mythical cow having a never-ending supply of milk, or a wish-fulfilling cow.]
