1.4 Chanakya Niti

मूर्खशिष्योपदेशेन दुष्टस्त्रीभरणेन च ।
दुःखितैः सम्प्रयोगेण पण्डितोऽप्यवसीदति ॥१.४॥

mūrkhaśiśyopadeśena duṣṭastrībharaṇena ca |
duḥkhitaiḥ samprayogeṇa paṇḍito’apyavasīdati ||1.4||

by imparting learning to a foolish disciple, by maintaining an evil woman, and by associating with the miserable, even a learned man comes to disgrace
