Another style of notation for Hindustani Classical Music that is easy for display on websites and typing, is presented below. Hyphen is used to denote the scale. As the scale increases or decreases, likewise the hyphen increases or decreases. Madhya has no hyphen. Mandra has a one hyphen on the left. Ati Mandra has two hyphens on the left. Similarly, Taar has one hyphen on the right. Ati Taar has two hyphens on the right. Earlier, the apostrophe was introduced, now the hyphen is introduced.
